'Slumdog' musical in pipeline

The Oscar-winning producers of 'Slumdog Millionaire' are to create a musical version of the movie - to provide financial help for the children depicted in the film.

The Hindustan Times reports producer Christian Colson is working on a stage musical of the film to raise funds for Mumbai's slum kids.

'Slumdog Millionaire' won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, last week.
