Cohen wows fans at comeback concert

Leonard Cohen wowed fans in New York on Thursday night at his first American concert in 15 years.

Fans swarmed to Manhattan's Beacon Theatre for the sell-out show, and gave the 75-year-old rocker a standing ovation after every song during a mammoth three-hour performance.

After taking to the stage to loud cheers, Cohen told the 3,000-strong crowd: "Thank you for an extraordinarily warm welcome. It's been a long time since I stood on a stage in New York. The last time I played this city I was 60 - just a kid with a crazy dream."

The concert kicks off a US tour, including a performance at the Coachella music festival in California in April.
