Brave Jade shares a joke over hair loss
Cancer-stricken Jade Goody today bravely shared a joke over her hair loss as she posed with friends wearing comic skull caps on the eve of her wedding to fiancé Jack Tweed.
Goody, 27, left her home in Upshire, Essex, with four female friends all wearing fake bald heads on their heads and dressed in similar tracksuits.
A smiling Goody – with a tube visible inside her left sleeve for her painkillers – posed at the centre of the group for photographers in her driveway.
The group climbed into a Range Rover after posing for pictures and drove off.
Goody said she could “give nothing away”.
Earlier this year Goody said doctors had told her the cancer was terminal and that she had weeks to live.
She said Tweed, 21, had proposed to her shortly after doctors broke the news.
The couple are scheduled to marry tomorrow in a lavish ceremony at Down Hall country house in Hatfield Heath, Essex.
In September Tweed was given an 18-months jail term after being convicted of attacking a teenage boy with a golf club near his home in Ongar, Essex.
He was freed from prison in January but must wear a tag and stay with his mother.
His release conditions say he must not leave his mother’s home after 7pm.
Britain's Ministry of Justice yesterday said the conditions of Tweed’s curfew would be relaxed so that he could spend his wedding night with his bride.
Goody, who has lost her hair as a result of chemotherapy treatment, and Tweed were said to be “thrilled” by the decision.
Tweed said he will be “fighting back tears” when he marries the reality TV star tomorrow.
“I know how hard the next few weeks will be and I know I’ll be fighting back tears at the service,” he told The Sun.
“But I’m going to make it a magical day for my Jade.
“I love Jade more than anything and this is all we both want. It’s going to be the best day of my life.”
