'Confessions of a Shopaholic' mindless fun

Bimbo makes good – she being the always watchable Fisher, here majoring in a lead role – in this lightweight rom-com that entertains without forcing the gray cells into any action whatsoever.

There’s nothing wrong with candyfloss once in a while and we certainly get a big cloud of it here as Fisher plays a college grad who lands a job on a glossy magazine passing on useful financial advice to her readers … who aren’t aware that her own finances are in a mess since she can’t pass a shop without removing most of the items from its shelves.

And then, for good measure, she has the hots for her editor and hopes he feels the same way.

Fisher is the sort of fluffy actress you just have to love and this is the sort of film you just have to embrace without expecting too much from it … well, other than a warm feeling of having been given a good time.
