Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway is to open the Academy Awards with a song-and-dance routine, according to reports.

The actress was spotted rehearsing for a variety number at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday and insiders claim she'll perform with Oscars host Hugh Jackman to kick off Sunday's show.
