Lee to direct 'Life Of Pi'

Ang Lee is being lined up to direct the screen version of 'Life Of Pi', it has been reported.

Movie magazine Variety said the Oscar-winning director is in talks over the adaptation of Yann Martel’s novel.

The Man Booker prize-winning book tells the tale of a lone shipwreck survivor who shares his lifeboat with a hyena, an injured zebra, an orangutan, and a tiger.

Fox 2000 has acquired the rights for a big screen version.

Variety reports that the project has been through several incarnations with a number of re-writes of the screenplay.
