Top Hollywood writers discuss Palin movies
Alaska governor Sarah Palin has inspired two of Hollywood's top screenwriters to fight for the right to make a movie about her life.
Republican Palin's role in the 2008 White House race divided America, with many questioning her experience, her intelligence and even her penchant for moose-hunting.
Tinseltown's top scribes believe she is great movie material.
'Milk' writer Dustin Lance Black told Variety: "I'm always down for politics as humour. I'm also interested in great characters."
'The Visitor' writer Todd McCarty, meanwhile, wants to focus any movie he makes on the teenager who impregnated Palin's 17-year-old daughter Bristol.
"This young man gets his girlfriend pregnant and ends up on the Republican platform at the National Convention," said McCarty.
"There's a dark comedy there somewhere. He was like a deer in the headlights."
'30 Rock' star Tina Fey gained international fame during the election with her impersonations of Palin, and would be the favourite of many to land the role.
