Rourke and Penn bury the hatchet

Mickey Rourke and Sean Penn have seemingly buried the hatchet ahead of the upcoming Oscars awards ceremony.

The pair, both Academy Award Best Actor nominees, were spotted sharing a chat and a few drinks at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood.

Last autumn, 'The Wrestler' star Mickey reportedly called Penn a “homophobe” and “average” in regards to Sean’s role in the film 'Milk'.

But it seems the success of both films has relaxed any tension there may have been between the pair. The New York Post said all was amicable at the poolside meeting.

A source told the paper: “Mickey had his little Chihuahua with him for moral support – he looked a little nervous around Sean.
