Degeneres and De Rossi throw glamorous joint birthday bash

Ellen Degeneres and partner Portia De Rossi celebrated their birthdays in style - by throwing a star-studded joint bash.

The pair held a lavish party at their Beverly Hills home on Saturday to celebrate being a year older; US talkshow host DeGeneres turned 51 on 26 January, while actress Rossi celebrated her 36th birthday just days later on 31 January.

And the couple ensured it was a glamorous occasion by inviting a host of their celebrity pals, including former Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, Drew Barrymore, Ben Stiller and British funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen, according to People.com.

But the pair weren't the most-talked about lesbian couple at the bash - Lindsay Lohan watched on as DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson provided music for party-goers.
