No more booze for Flowers

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has given up alcohol in a bid to save his voice.

The 'Mr Brightside' singer fears booze will eventually ruin his vocal chords, so he has become teetotal to help prolong his performing career.

"You sing better," he said. "Booze dehydrates you. I knew I would be better if I stopped, I feel like I have longevity now."
