Ritchie joins family at Kabbalah centre

Guy Ritchie has quashed rumours that his lack of enthusiasm for his wife's faith played a role in the breakdown of his marriage after spending time in a New York Kabbalah centre with Madonna and their three kids.

Ritchie was the first to arrive at the centre on Saturday, with Madonna and the three children joining him shortly afterwards as the family put on a united front for the sake of religion.

Ritchie stayed in the centre for over an hour, leaving with his son Rocco and adopted son David Banda, while Lourdes, Madonna's daughter from a previous marriage, left later with her mother.

A source said: "Guy was smiling and in good spirits and seems to still spend time with Madonna as a family. Perhaps he's even still practising Kabbalah."

Last year, when Ritchie and Madonna were splitting, the pop star's brother, Christopher Ciccone, blamed Kabbalah for the break-up, and the moviemaker confessed he was puzzled by the faith.

He said: "It's a complicated subject... I don't really understand Kabbalah as a religion or a belief system."
