The five remaining celebrities are spending their last full day inside the 'Big Brother' house today.

TV presenters Ulrika Jonsson and Terry Christian, US rapper Coolio, actor Verne Troyer and ex-boy band member Ben Adams escaped last night’s surprise double eviction.

Singer La Toya Jackson and politician Tommy Sheridan became the fourth and fifth celebrities to be kicked out of the house.

The public had already started voting for who should win the show tomorrow and yesterday’s evictees had the lowest votes so far.

A spokesman for the show said Jackson had received just 6.56% of the vote, while Sheridan had 9.2%.

On being given the news, Jackson hugged Jonsson and said: “Nice seeing you.” As she was leaving the house she said: “Yikes, here it comes,” but she was greeted with mostly cheers from the crowd.

During an interview with presenter Davina McCall, she said: “I’m feeling good. The house has been good.

“It was an experience for me being with other people for that length of time.

“I was able to come out of my shell, however I wish I could have done a bit more.

“I hate being so shy and I thought that this would help me a lot, and it did.”

When Sheridan was evicted, he told his housemates to “enjoy themselves”, and was then booed by the crowd.

Sheridan told McCall: “I was very pleased when you called out my name.

“My time was up. I wanted to get out and I was really disappointed when La Toya was first called. I had a glum face.”

When asked about his reasons for going into the house, he replied: “I needed the money,” and later added: “It was a well-paid job.”

He said of the other celebrities: “I think the mix in the house was fantastic. I do think that there was a great dynamic there.”
