Winehouse: 'I wont let Blake divorce me'

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is refusing to let her husband Blake Fielder-Civil divorce her because she wants to give their relationship another chance when he is released from prison.

Lawyers for Fielder-Civil, jailed for causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, filed papers last week in a bid to bring the couple's 20-month marriage to an end.

The move was said to be sparked by reports linking Winehouse to former rugby player Joshua Bowman during her current sunshine break in the Caribbean , but the pair has denied they were romantically involved.

And Winehouse is determined not to let the divorce go through ,as she still cares about her incarcerated partner.

She said: "I still love my Blake. I won’t let him divorce me. He’s still in jail but the moment he comes out I’ll be there waiting for him.

“I love him because he’s just like me. Blake is the male version of me. We’re perfect for each other. I don’t want to go back home to England. I want to wait for Blake here.

"While Blake is in jail I’m still gonna have a good time , he can’t do much about it.

“But once he comes out we’ll be together again. There’s some nice lads here, I am just having fun. I don’t want anybody else because I’ve got my Blake.”

Fielder-Civil, who married the singer in Miami, Florida in 2007, was released from prison in November 2008 after serving almost a year behind bars in relation to an attack on a pub landlord in 2006.

But he was sent back to jail after less than a month for failing a mandatory drugs test which will see him forced to serve out the remainder of his sentence, meaning he could remain incarcerated until early 2010.
