Duffy to promote Diet Coke

Duffy is set to appear in a multi-million pound advertising campaign for Diet Coke.

The 'Mercy' singer has signed a deal to promote the drinks giant across Europe in a costly advertising drive throughout the continent later this year.

And the star feels she is the perfect spokesperson for the brand - because she drinks so much of the low-calorie fizz.

She said: "(I drink) so much of the stuff, they were either going to give me shares in the company or put me in the advert."

Previous celebrities who have starred in the brand's marketing campaigns include Oscar-winners Adrien Brody and Kim Basinger, as well as actress Kate Beckinsale.
