Bunton rules out second Spice Girls reunion
Emma Bunton ruled out a second Spice Girls reunion tour and said being a mother has changed her priorities.
The singer, once known as Baby Spice, said of the group’s 2007 tour: “We had the most amazing time. It was a completely different vibe and we had so much fun. But it’s done now, and I think we’re all going in different directions.”
But Bunton said the five former Spice Girls were still the best of friends. “When I’m with the rest of the Spice Girls, we know each other inside out and I just love being with them. I’m like a child. I spent some time with Victoria and Mel C over Christmas and we just gossip and have so much fun. I love being around them.”
But the singer-turned-TV-star said she had no plans to take a break from her career. “I really, really want to do more acting. It obviously takes more time because of having coaching and having acting lessons, but that’s the next thing I want to do.
I love doing TV, it feels really comfortable and yet it’s a real challenge as it’s something different. Being in the music industry is so much fun but it’s very different from the TV world and I feel lucky I’ve got the chance to explore another avenue.”
