Allen splits from art dealer boyfriend

Lily Allen has split from her new lover, millionaire art dealer Jay Joplin, less than a month after they got together.

The relationship between the 'Smile' singer, 23, and 45-year-old Joplin - a friend of Allen's actor father Keith - was revealed when they were spotted kissing aboard a yacht off the Caribbean island of St Barts on New Year's Day.

Now back in the UK, the couple are reported to have split because of Allen's hectic work schedule as she prepares to go on tour.

A friend told The Mail on Sunday that although the relationship only amounted to a holiday romance, Allen was feeling down about the split from art mogul Joplin, who separated from his artist wife of 11 years, Sam Taylor Wood, in September.

The pal said: "They have had a lot of fun together. Lily is going away for a year on tour, so it's unlikely she will have much time for a relationship."
