Springsteen planning Obama show

Bruce Springsteen is set to join soul queen Aretha Franklin in welcoming US President-elect Barack Obama to the White House later this month.

Franklin is hotly tipped to be among the stars performing at Obama's inauguration on January 20.

Springsteen, one of Obama's biggest celebrity supporters, will perform a free concert on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, according to the Washington Post.

Springsteen performed a handful of Obama benefits during the Democrat's election campaign last year and joined the US President-to-be at a campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio.
