Cheryl hails Ashley's 'beautiful soul'
Cheryl Cole has revealed how she coped with claims that her England football star husband Ashley Cole cheated on her.
In a frank interview with Vogue, the Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge reportedly described the allegations of infidelity as āhorrendousā.
Cole, 25, appears on the front cover of the February edition of the magazine, out this Thursday.
In January last year Aimee Walton, a 22-year-old hairdresser, told a newspaper that the Chelsea footballer had sex with her after a heavy drinking session.
According to reports in The Sun and Daily Mail attributed to Vogue, Cole said her husband is āa really nice guyā, though admitted he could also be immature.
āAshleyās young and heās got a young mentality ā for his age anyway,ā she said.
āHeās learning. He has a beautiful soul, heās a really nice guy and Iām not stupid, you know. Iām really not.
āI know what Iām doing. Iāve had enough knocks in the past to know what the circumstances are, and Iām happy. If other people arenāt, then thatās their problem.ā
Cole, who posed in pink sequinned trousers for the shoot, also talked of her struggle to control her weight.
Photographs of the singer looking painfully thin last year sparked fears for her health.
Cole fronted the famous magazine six years after, as an unknown, she auditioned for 'Popstars: The Rivals'.
Victoria Beckham, 34, only made the cover of the fashion bible in March, 12 years after the Spice Girls shot to fame with their debut Number One, 'Wannabe'.
More viewers are watching the 'X Factor' since the Newcastle-born star was recruited to replace Sharon Osbourne as a judge on the TV talent show.
