Huppert appointed head of Cannes jury

French actress Isabelle Huppert has been appointed as president of the jury for the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

The star, whose career has spanned four decades, has twice served as a member of the jury and becomes the fourth woman to head the committee, succeeding actor Sean Penn.
