Madonna's tour tops big-earners poll
Pop queen Madonna has reasons to be cheerful as her divorce from Guy Ritchie rumbles on - her 'Sticky & Sweet' world tour was the highest-grossing US jaunt of 2008.
The 'Material Girl' star's series of shows in North America raked in $105.3m (€75m), according to Pollstar magazine.
Celine Dion came second in the list, taking $94m (€67m) on her first US tour since her five-year residency in Las Vegas, and The Eagles made third place with more than $73m (€52m) for their series of dates.
The top five highest-grossing tours of the U.S. in 2008 was rounded out by country singer Kenny Chesney with $72m (€51.5m) and Bon Jovi with $70m (€50m).
Madonna split from her movie director husband Ritchie earlier this year. Their divorce was granted in November and is due to be rubber-stamped in the New Year.
