'Far North'

A bleak tale of twisted love in the frozen hinterland with ‘evil’ – according to the tribal Shamans – Saiva (Yeoh) wandering the wasteland with young companion Anja (Krusiec) and rescuing a badly-injured Loki (Bean).

The twisted love comes in her falling in love with him and him falling in love with Anja.

It’s a beautifully-shot film that’s strong on character – much needed since not a lot happens action-wise – and packed with cold atmosphere.

A film of decidedly acquired taste, but one unusual enough to be given your full, and ultimately satisfied, attention.
