Winfrey lands new TV/movie deal
TV queen Oprah Winfrey has signed on an exclusive new deal to develop movies and miniseries with HBO.
The talk show host will develop the projects as part of a three-year deal with her company, Harpo Films, which has been working with ABC for the last 15 years.
Harpo Vice-President Kate Forte says it has not yet been discussed whether Winfrey will act in any of the projects.
Winfrey began her TV acting career with 1985s 'The Color Purple'.
