Tom Cruise returned to US breakfast TV show Today on Monday, three years after he made headlines with a live rant against anti-depressant drugs.

During the broadcast in June 2005, Scientologist Cruise argued with interviewer Matt Lauer and criticised Brooke Shields' use of drugs to combat postnatal depression.
