Meeting Diana the best experience, says 'X Factor' Eoghan

Eoghan Quigg may have lost out on the 'X Factor' crown – but he describes meeting fellow contestant Diana Vickers as the best experience of his life.

The pair were pictured sharing a kiss after the final show on Saturday night, and Vickers has recently told how she and boyfriend Chris Jones have cooled their relationship.

Asked if he thought he and Vickers might become a couple, Quigg told this week’s Heat magazine: “It’s possible... maybe... or maybe not.”

Saying meeting Vickers was “the best experience” of his life, he continued: “She’s a really lovely girl and we have got a strong bond together.

“We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”

Asked whether she and Quigg could become a couple, Vickers told Heat: “I can’t say... It depends what happens... right now I’m not going to think about anything like that.

“I’m going to make sure I spend some time with Chris at Christmas, and who’s to say what’s going to happen in the future?

“I can’t wait to see Eoghan more... I dunno what’s going to happen.”

Speaking about her feelings, she revealed: “There’s a difference between loving each other and being in love. I love him to bits...”

Disputing rumours that she and Quigg have been dating for the past month, Vickers said: “I’m not a liar. I’ll tell him everything to do with me and Eoghan and I’d never cheat on anyone in my life.”

Describing fresh-faced 16-year-old Quigg, Vickers, 17, said: “People look at him like he’s a 10-year-old boy or something. He’s not, though, at all – he’s surprisingly grown up.

“He’s very mature... He’s sensitive and very caring and considerate... He can be very silly too, though.”

Speaking about Jones, Vickers said: “He’s going to go home and I’m going to stay in London.

“It’s so much to think about – I’m just 17 and I need to think about my career and put my all into it without thinking about someone else and having a relationship.”

Saying Quigg was her “comfort” in the house, Vickers said: “I just had the best time with him, and was always laughing ’til my tummy hurt.

“We’ve spoken on the phone lots – but he hasn’t been declaring undying love for me or anything!”

Last week, judge Simon Cowell described Quigg and Vickers as “two young kids in love”.

Meanwhile, 'X Factor' judge Dannii Minogue said she will be back for next year’s X Factor, despite rumours to the contrary.

The 37-year-old told the latest edition of Closer: “The producers and Simon tell me I am returning, so that’s all I believe.

“So unless I hear differently, then I’ll be back.”

Despite her fall-out with judge Louis Walsh, which saw her in tears, Minogue is keen to keep the current line-up.

She said: “The panel works perfectly now with Simon, Louis, Cheryl (Cole) and me.

“We have different opinions – it’s very important.”

Minogue is taking her rugby player boyfriend Kris Smith home to Australia to meet her parents this Christmas.

She told the magazine: “I can’t wait to show Kris around Australia. I’m so excited. Initially he was coming for a two-week break, but who knows, he might just take one long holiday and stay with me the whole time!”

Meanwhile, Cole has put previous marriage troubles with footballer husband Ashley Cole – after reports he was unfaithful – behind her this Christmas.

Cole told Closer: “I like the idea of doing something old-fashioned for Christmas and making it very romantic.

“I’m a real Christmas person. It’s such a family time and I love getting festive. I’d like to fill stockings with romantic and thoughtful presents for Ashley!”
