Locklear back healthy and happy

Actress Heather Locklear is back to full health and happiness, after a tough 2008 dominated by DUI charges and a spell in rehab.

In September the former 'Melrose Place' star was caught driving under the influence of prescription drugs - just weeks after she was treated in a clinic for depression and anxiety.

But the 47-year-old actress has battled back, and marked her recovery with a special Thanksgiving break spent with ex-husband Richie Sambora and current beau Jack Wagner.

In her first TV appearance since her troubles - on Wednesday night's 'The Tonight Show' in America - she told fans she's fine after a "rough" year.

Locklear told host Jay Leno, "I've been better, but I'm good today. I'm over that hump, and here I am.

When asked by Leno what she would have done differently in 2008, she joked, "I would have stayed in my house!" But added, "You know what, I wouldn't have done anything differently because, here I am today, happy and healthy - and lessons are to learn."
