Samuel L. Jackson was honoured by a host of fellow Hollywood stars as he was handed the 23rd annual American Cinematheque Award on Tuesday night.

The actor was given the lifetime achievement prize by legendary Star Wars director George Lucas during a special tribute night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
