Combs and Franklin to front new talent show

Aretha Franklin and Sean 'Diddy' Combs are launching a new 'American Idol'-style talent show to find talented R&B and hip-hop stars.

But, unlike the hit talent show, the winner of Franklin and Diddy's new venture will be decided by the stars themselves - not the public.

Soul queen Franklin says: "The country will not vote. It will just be me and Diddy voting for who the next star will be."

The weekly show is tentatively planned for 2009.
