Mariah Carey pondering a musical

Pop superstar Mariah Carey is in talks to have her life story turned into a Broadway musical.

The 'Hero' hitmaker's rise to fame has not been short of drama with her marriage and divorce from music mogul Tommy Mottola in the 1990s, rumours of a nervous breakdown, reported fall outs with record bosses and recent whirlwind romance with new husband Nick Cannon.

And now a top musical producer wants to put Carey's story on the stage - much to the delight of the singer.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "A huge, huge Broadway producer is interested in Mariah's story and it's in discussions. Who would turn down an opportunity like that? Mariah has had a fascinating life."
