'The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D' provides spin on seasonal classic

The 3D version of Tim Burton’s classic animated film returns in time for a Yuletide run that should get good audiences, perhaps it’s destined to be 'The Wizard of Oz', always with us.

The story concerns the not-very-nice Pumpkin King of Halloweentown who discovers Christmastown and becomes a better man for it … as should we all.

The 3D effect adds to the original with depth and sharpness but, happily doesn’t detract from it.
