Brave Swayze parties in Chicago

Cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze defied his life-threatening illness by partying at a Chicago, Illinois nightclub, to celebrate the end of filming on his new TV show.

The 'Dirty Dancing' star revealed he was battling pancreatic cancer at the beginning of 2008 and has since undergone treatment for the disease.

But Swayze has refused to give up his acting career, signing up to star as an undercover FBI agent in new US TV show 'The Beast'.

And after filming the final scenes for the gritty crime drama, Swayze hit Chicago's Underground nightclub with wife Lisa Niemi and his brother John.

Swayze's 'The Beast' co-star, Kevin O'Connor, said: "He has so much more energy that you don't think about his health. In fact I think I look a lot more tired than Patrick does. He is just amazing."
