Witherspoon laughs off Vaughn rift rumours

Actress Reese Witherspoon has laughed off reports of tensions between her and Vince Vaughan on the set of their festive film 'Four Christmases'.

The two stars play lovers in the new movie, but rumours suggest there was anything but love between them in between takes.

And the gossip has continued as they promote the new film in America - because they're sitting for separate interviews.

But Oscar winner Witherspoon is confused by the speculation - because she had a great time with Vaughn while they shot the comedy.

She explained: "We got along great, we were very good friends and we were very much partners on this movie."

And the star, who is dating Jake Gyllenhaal, insists the rumour mill goes into overtime whenever she is paired up with a leading Hollywood actor.

She adds, "Every co-star I ever work with, I'm either having an affair with him, I'm about to get married with him, or having a baby, or we absolutely cannot stand each other.

"Vince is the funniest person I've ever worked with. It was a challenge for me to stay there and keep up with him. But I feel really a better actor for that experience."
