Cowell's ex: 'We're still talking'

Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour has revealed she still chats to her ex five times a day.

She also told Hello! magazine how the straight-talking X Factor judge who doesn’t pull any punches with contestants did not like arguing and would try to make her laugh instead.

Seymour also scotched rumours that multi-millionaire Cowell gave her a big cash settlement when they split up.

She told Hello! magazine: “I was horrified when I read that he’s supposed to have given me 10 million dollars or whatever. I was like: ’Why?’ I’ve worked myself since I was 12 years old. I’ve always been very independent and I’m lucky that I still work like I do.”

She added: “We were just never together. There’s only so much you can do over the telephone and it really was a long-distance relationship.

“But we still talk five times a day and everything’s great between us.

“He still calls me just before he goes to bed and I know he will always be a dear friend.”

Seymour, 34, also denied she dumped Cowell, 49, by text. She said: “No, it wasn’t ended over the phone and it wasn’t ended by text.

“It wasn’t because he wouldn’t marry me and wouldn’t have children. We were never going to get married and Simon never wanted children.

“That wasn’t even a factor, because I always knew that he never wanted kids, dating back to the time when we were friends before we started going out with each other.

“I never let myself think like that. It was always obvious that wasn’t going to happen with him, but we got on so well and had such a great time together.”

She said the split was a mutual decision and she had no regrets.
