Jay-Z to join Coldplay on tour

Jay-Z was will appear with Coldplay as their special guest on three new UK stadium shows announced today.

The hip-hop star went down a storm at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and is a friend of the band.

The shows will take place next September and prices start at £40 (€47).

The band’s sold-out 2008 tour opens in Sheffield on Saturday and includes three nights at London’s O2 in December.

Tickets for the new UK gigs go on sale at 9.30am on Friday.

The dates are at Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground on September 12, Glasgow’s Hampden Park on September 16 and London’s Wembley Stadium on September 19.
