Irons to make Broadway return
Jeremy Irons is returning to Broadway after nearly a quarter of a century away.
The opening date and theatre have been set for the world premiere of 'Impressionism', a play by Michael Jacobs starring Irons and Joan Allen.
The story of a photojournalist and a New York gallery owner will open on March 12 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
Preview performances begin February 28 with Jack O’Brien directing. Additional casting will be announced.
The production marks Irons’ first Broadway performance in nearly 25 years. The actor, who lives in West Cork, last appeared there in 1984 in Tom Stoppard’s 'The Real Thing'.
