Sugababes 'Push the Button' on London lights

The Sugababes joined 'X Factor' finalists in switching on the Christmas lights on London's Oxford Street tonight before 50,000 screaming fans.

The Sugababes were invited to “push the button” while 'X Factor' contestants Daniel, Rachel, Ruth and Alexandra performed their smash hit charity single 'Hero'.

The Sugababes agreed with thousands of fans that Laura should not have been kicked out of the TV talent competition at the weekend.

Sugababe Keisha said: “I almost smashed my TV.”

Amelle agreed and Heidi also added: “Laura should not have been kicked out.”

Contestant Ruth, who was in the bottom two with Laura, said she felt terrible for her. She described her as: “One of the best singers I have ever heard and I wish her the best of luck.”

Alexandra said the finalists would definitely keep in touch adding: “We have all been friends since the beginning.”

Ruth said Laura was happy now, and Alexandra added: “She’s definitely going to get a deal.”

She described fellow contestant Diana, who did not perform on Saturday after being diagnosed with laryngitis, as a “fighter”.
