Kaiser Chiefs keyboardist undergoes emergency surgery

Kaiser Chiefs keyboardist Nick Baines has been forced to pull out of a concert after he was hospitalised in Brazil with a bout of appendicitis.

Baines, known to fans of the Brit band as Peanut, had his appendix removed on Thursday and is recuperating in the country.
