Williams defends Lohan

With reports simmering that Lindsay Lohan's guest appearance on 'Ugly Betty' had been cut short because of disagreements with the show’s star America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams has been quick to defend both her co-stars, maintaining that any problems were “blown out of proportion”.

“America is the consummate professional,” she told 'OK!'.

“She works very hard, and she’s also very invested in her character. So if you don’t come with the same drive and panache, I think that’s where the unbalance was.”

Vanessa added: “I think by the time Lindsay was finished, she loved us and she wanted to stay longer.”
