Memorial service to be held for Hudson's family

Friends and relatives of Jennifer Hudson are expected at her childhood church in Chicago tonight for a memorial service to mourn the Oscar-winning actress’s mother, brother, and nephew.

The memorial for Darnell Donerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King is to be held at Pleasant Gift Memorial Baptist Church.

A publicist said Miss Hudson and her sister, Julia will not attend the service.

The three victims were found shot dead last month.

No one has been charged in the killings. However, authorities have called Julia Hudson’s estranged husband, 27-year-old William Balfour, a “person of interest”.

He is in custody on a parole violation.
