Lots of laughs in 'The Rocker'

A funny, funny film that charts high on the entertainment scale … and one for all those old, garage, wannabe rock ‘n rollers.

The excellent Wilson – from the Jack Black school – plays ‘Fish’ Fishman, a rock drummer who is dumped from the band Vesuvius and left to seethe in frustration for 20 years before suddenly finding a second shot at fame when his nephew forms a high school band and finds itself short of a drummer.

It’s a happy, clappy, tune-filled fest with lots of laughs and, aside from a slightly disappointing ending, a feel-good factor.
