Lots of laughs in 'A Film With Me In It'
Director: Ian Fitzgibbon
Cast: Dylan Moran, Amy Huberman, Keith Allen, Mark Doherty
Cert: 15
Oops, accidents will happen. Too often for the hapless Mark (Doherty) in this funny, inventive and body-strewn comedy.
The guy’s in trouble and it just won’t stop what with his grotty, falling-apart apartment, his inability to pay the rent to a landlord who won’t fix things, a girlfriend (Huberman) who is heading for the exit … and one deadly disaster after another.
People are killed in increasingly spectacular ways and Mark has to find a way to dispose of the growing pile of bodies … what he does isn’t the wisest of solutions: he calls in best friend, the boozy writer-director played wonderfully by Moran, who sees a film in the making.
It’s the sort of film that calls for abandonment of belief but the sort of film that keeps coming up with more and more laughs and shocks.
Another Irish film to enjoy.
