'Little Britain's Lucas moving into fantasy

Matt Lucas is moving out of 'Little Britain' and into the world of US fantasy TV.

The British funnyman has been signed on to co-star in Comedy Central’s fantasy-comedy series 'Krod Mandoon And The Flaming Sword Of Fire'.

He joins fellow Brits Sean Maguire, Emmy Award-nominated John Rhys-Davies, Primeval’s James Murray, India De Beaufort and Steve Speirs in the cast.

“After a long and extensive search, we are thrilled to lock in the perfect cast for this unique series, that is best described as 'Monty Python' meets 'The Princess Bride',” says the network’s Lauren Corrao.
