Pregnant pop star Melanie Chisholm is to wed her long-term boyfriend Thomas Starr.

The former Spice Girl and her partner of six years are expecting a baby together in the new year - thought to be around March - with the couple reportedly planning to exchange nuptials shortly after the baby arrives.

According to the 'Daily Mirror' newspaper, the parents-to-be got engaged last month and are aiming for a spring wedding.

Chisholm will be the last of the Spice Girls to become a mother - Melanie Brown has two daughters; Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has three sons with David Beckham, and Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton each have one child.
