Another sibling for Winslet's daughter Mia

Kate Winslet's daughter Mia will soon be a big sister to a half-sibling - the 'Titanic' star's ex-husband Jim Threapleton is expecting a child with his second wife.

Winslet, 33, remains on good terms with filmmaker Threapleton, who she divorced in 2001, and even spends time with him and their eight-year-old, Mia, as well as her new husband, director Sam Mendes, and their four-year-old son Joe.

And the actress is "delighted" Threapleton and his new partner Julie will introduce a new bundle of joy into their close family circle next year.

Threapleton, 34, explains: "(Julie) is in the mid stages of pregnancy and as yet we don't know what sex the baby will be.

"Obviously we hope that our child will get to know Mia and take his or her place in the extended family."
