Belfast to host 'Embers' premiere

Belfast will stage the European premiere of the star-studded Hollywood film 'City of Embers' at the Movie House on October 9.

The film, a children's adventure about a race against time to save an underground city from flooding, is directed by Gil Kenan and stars young Irish Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, Bill Murray, Martin Landau and Tim Robbins.

It was shot entirely in and around the city by Tom Hanks' production company.

It is hoped several members of the cast will attend the screening.
