Minogue's hits inspire musical

Kylie Minogue has her sights set on London's West End stage, she's writing a musical around her greatest hits.

The singer, 40, is teaming up with Aussie author and pal Kathy Lette to pen the script, while Dannii Minogue, the superstar's younger sister, is also on board the project.

And Lette is confident fans will be pleased with the final results.

She says: "We'll weave all her hits together into a great storyline. Kylie never does anything naff (bad). She's got a finely tuned crap antenna and we don't suffer from an irony deficiency."

Minogue won't be the first star to turn her songs into a stage show; Queen legends Brian May and Roger Taylor lent their band's hits to the theatre production of 'We Will Rock You', and Swedish pop sensations Abba have permitted the use of their songs in musical 'Mamma Mia!', which has

also enjoyed huge success this summer after being turned into a movie starring Hollywood actress Meryl Streep.
