Kings of Leon's success lures long lost relatives

Kings of Leon have been bombarded with messages from distant family members since they became stars, with some even putting personal snaps of the band online.

The band, formed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared and their cousin Matthew, are enjoying stellar success with their latest track 'Sex On Fire, and family members are keen to cash in on the stars' good fortune.

Frontman Caleb Followill says: "It's at the point now where we're starting to have a lot more third and fourth cousins, that we've never met before, show up. This was the first year where we actually saw pictures of ourselves on the internet that people were taking.

"It felt like we got paparazzied by our own family. It felt like an invasion of privacy, but you know, we put a stop to that."

And it isn't just distant relatives trying to make some extra money from the group.

Nathan jokes: "My dad was like, hiding in a tree with camera, it was terrible."
