Farrell not in line for Doctor Watson role

Colin Farrell will not be playing Dr Watson in Guy Ritchie's planned Sherlock Holmes film.

The bumbling doctor role will go to English actor Jude Law, with Robert Downey Jnr as the clever Victorian sleuth.
