Gallagher plans 'brilliant' solo record

Noel Gallagher has some "brilliant" songs lined up for his solo album - but will only release the disc if all the band members agree to do the same.

The singer has harboured plans to go it alone for some time, and has now confirmed his intentions to release his own material after he's finished promoting Oasis' new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul'.

But he insists he will only go ahead with the project if brother Liam Gallagher, guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell, and drummer Chris Sharrock all choose to pursue their own solo dreams.

He says: "I'd like for us to do separate projects after this record. We'd all have to agree on it, so it will probably never happen. I've got loads of new songs. Somewhat predictably, they're all brilliant."
