Dawson criticises 'celebrity politicians'

'Sin City' actress Rosario Dawson has hit out over the celebrity status that US politicians seem to be cultivating in the run-up to America’s election.

Speaking at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie 'Eagle Eye', the actress took a dim view of how politicians have been gracing the covers of some of America’s top celeb-mags.

“I think that if there’s anything positive to glean about how this has become a celebrity fest with our politicians, it is that people are paying attention,” she said.

“I really hope that that means they’re going to not buy more magazines than they are going to show up for voting.”
