Affleck to play thief in new movie

Oscar winner Ben Affleck is writing, directing and starring in his next movie project - about a career thief who falls in love with a bank manager.

He will play a robber who falls in love with a female bank manager in his next movie 'The Town'.

The movie is based on Chuck Hogan's novel 'The Prince of Thieves' - but Affleck has taken control of the script and is busy working on a re-write.

According to Daily Variety, it will be based in Affleck's native Boston, Massachusetts - the setting for his last directorial project, 'Gone Baby Gone'.
